Happy Thursday everyone! With the weekend just around the corner I thought I’d share some date night outfit inspiration and share a few of mine and Ryan’s favorite spots for date night in the city. We love trying new restaurants and I love any excuse to get a little more dressed up than usual.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! is our go-to spot when we want to go out but don’t want to make it a big to do. We love tapas style restaurants and I’m sure many Chicagoans would agree that Ba-Ba-Reeba is THE best. I think we’ve tried just about everything on the menu. Some of our favorite items include the Rioja Braised Short Rib, Garlic Shrimp and the Grilled Octopus. Since there is usually a pretty long wait Thurs-Sat we just wait until a seat at the bar opens up and eat there! P.s. Ba-ba-reeba also has an amazing brunch menu too!

Momotaro is our go-to for when we want to venture out of our neighborhood a bit or if were going to dinner with another couple. It’s a modern Japanese restaurant and everything I’ve had there is INCREDIBLE. This is another small shared plates kind of place which I love because I can try a little bit of everything. My all time favorite dish here is the Alaskan King Crab.

Riccardo Enoteca is our favorite spot for Italian. We both spent a semester in Florence so it’s hard to compare to some of the restaurants in Italy but this place comes close. The simple ambiance give it a very authentic european feel.
